Missouri Wins Heavyweight National Championship

Missouri was recently shunned from the BCS bowls, having to settle for a Cotton Bowl bid against Arkansas. With a dominating 38-7 victory, Missouri claimed the one National Championship that cannot be messed up by opinions, computers, polls or bias. While Ohio State and LSU will play in a BCS Championship game that many feel does not necessarily have the two best teams, Missouri can hang their hat on the HWFC Championship.

Ohio State tops HWFC Computer Rankings

The final week of the 2007 season was no more predictable than all the others, seeing the #1 and #2 teams both go down. Ohio State ended up #1 in the final regular season HWFC computer poll. LSU took second place, with Oklahoma, Viginia Tech and Missouri rounding out the top 5. Complete Final Regular Season Ratings

How do we pick the REAL National Champions?

There is no such thing as a national champion in college football.  Even the BCS College Football Standing has no authority to claim an official National Champion.  The polls have their flaws.  If the computers were the answer, wouldn't they end up agreeing with each other?

What about a playoff?  In College Football history, there has never been a true division 1A playoff.  There's nothing that indicates we'll see one in the near future anyway.
